SO...
If i were to remove the expansion slot and solder wires from the mobo directly to the cart holder, it wouldnt work? because i have already done this and hot glued the crap out of it to hold it in place...
ok so to fix this remove the crap load of glue i put on and just solder the holes from the xpansion slot to the corisponding holes from the cartrage slot?
you can even just use some solid 20 awg or 22 awg copper wire and just insert them into the slots where the pins normally go .....that's what I always do .......you can only do that if the ext. port's not desoldered, though....
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!
yea i already removed the expansion slot so im just rewiring. Only thing is looks crappy with all the flux buildup. if it dont work on the firs try im getin a new n64 to start over
The easiest solution that I have found when moving the cartridge slot, is to leave the slot where it is, insert the contact portion of a broken(or crappy) game, solder IDE cable to back, and attach a homemade or adapted slot. Sounds like a lot, but takes about 20 minutes, rather than 3 hours.
