Now: pictures and a video!

This picture makes the paint look really dark. It's actually lighter than navy blue. I love this shade of blue and I plan on using it for many more future projects.

Nice and compact!

YouTube video! Yes, this another one of those "I don't like the sound of my voice so I'm not going to talk during a video of something I made" videos. You know what I'm talking about. If you listen real closely at 1:44 you'll hear my roommate...
"Making of" thread
Just a few notes about this portable:
1) If I were to spend more time on this portable, I would probably replace the buttons on the back with either larger diameter tact switches or work in the original shoulder buttons. As it is, these work just fine.
2) I'm pretty proud of how I made the power plug. Heat-shrink tubing is wonderful! I use it whenever I can because it's loads better than electrical tape in every way. More professional look to it, too!
3) Unfortunately, the buttons are somewhat glitchy. On occasion some of the buttons will behave as though more than one is pressed, such as R1 and R2. Pressing either behaves as though both are being pressed at the same time. I took the system apart and reassembled it about five times in one evening trying to pinpoint where the short is and how to fix it, but the best I could get it to is "passable". Honestly it's something that can be fixed quite easily - it's just a matter of finding where something's touching.
