Well, I was kinda holding off until I got the stupid controller to work, but I just have to share my bondo job on this one. I can't wait to get it up and running! I'm using an original PS1 controller without analog sticks for this one. I figured I'd get my feet wet working with a PSOne and go from there. It's an awesome system to tinker around with - the spinning CD adds some action you never see with stuff like SNES and Atari. And if you're careless, you could slice off a finger! Well, not really, but if you put a circular saw blade in there it would make one intimidating weapon...
So, let's see - another SNES portable and a brand new PSOne portable on the way with eventual NOAC and Atari portables coming in the fairly near future... I'd say I've got a lot on my hands! Am I the only one counting down the days until summer? That's when I get to have full access to the garage at home since I'm stuck in a dorm room during the school year...

Actually... I made this a week before you posted pictures of yours! I appreciate the compliments, guys. Only you guys truly understand... Lolz...
Despite it being bashed by the local bondo masters around here, I used the two part bondo that comes from a big ol' can. I've racked up enough experience with it for this and my SNESp that I've got the technique figured out. Just don't use it for major structural purposes and it's fine. As a gap filler (which it's supposed to be) it works just fine. The fact that it's kinda liquidy makes it easier to get into the small cracks.
And yup, that's Krylon Fusion with Krylon clear overcoat. We'll see if this paint job holds up better than the one on the Stupendo.
Let's call not painting the lid artistic and not lazy, shall we?

The good Lord willing I will finally finish this little project of mine this weekend. It's been sitting on my desk mocking me and my lack of time for fun projects for far too long. We'll see if I can get this sucker done... Please oh please let it work the first time!!!
Once it's done (if it gets done), anyone interested in it? Screen, battery, and system?
Edit: Tadaa! It works! Pics on Monday That makes completely finished portable number three! Time for my "portablizer extraordinaire" title!
Now to finish up my other portable projects...
