RIP GC???

Post by x24 »

Just another wonderful day in a town in spain, carrying my riot gun, pistol, sniper rifle and magnum, and walking in the rain up the same hill ive done about three times now, dodging flying axes and tnt, oops forgot about those bast### wolves again.. oww, mustve hit me hard cause the orange light on my GC just went off.. thats weird the fans still spinning and the light didnt go off in my room.. but im not getting my face ripped off anymore..

I bought my GC off some guy upstairs for about $70 CAD and it came with 4 games, an extra controller and a memory card.. he was nice enough to keep the receipt for the warrenty on it

you think im going to have to go take it in and get it replaced..???

ive kinda been keeping it in a closed in space.. i dont think enough air was getting into it.. but since it happened i tried putting it in the middle of living room and it still happened..

im thinkin its fubar..

w00t!!!!
its breathing.. *does happy dance*

i just went on a small trip and came back and my gf said she got farther in a game she's playing.. I was wondering why it would work for her and not me.. so i plugged in my controller and popped in RE4 again and walked up the same damn hill with the wolves and boom.. out it went again..

I asked her what was different between when she was playing and when i was playing.. she said she was playin a different game and was using her favorite orange gc controller..

now the game is brand new.. but i checked for damage to the discs anyway.. nothing.. then i looked at my controller.. buttons seem fine.. hmm. went down the wire.. AHHHH!!!!! my damn kitten's been eating it as i slept..

x24 is a very happy man.. Dami the kitten is very tired from running.. I'm not angry at'm anymore tho.. who could stay mad at this: Image

it not hard to stay mad tho when he thru everything on my work desk (nes/n64/mp3 player insides) on the floor

The nintendo troubleshooting reminds me of Comcast

"My internets not working"
"can you go to the command prompt and type in "ipconfig""
"My command prompt doesnt work"
"Can you tell me how you spelt IPconfig?"
<long pause in which the guy must be thinking "maybe I'm reading these troubleshoots wrong">

This is not an uncommon problem with GameCubes, but it is uncommon for a Nintendo controller, unless it's been damaged by an outside force, like a kitten. Nintendo controllers seem to be much more robust than other brand ones (which break for no apparent reason).

Ah, I remember that day I was playing NES with my brother-in-law and my dog walked over and bit his controller cable…
