Who has added a cartridge slot?

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

Well, I cheated on mine...

You know SCSI ribbon cable, its female connector is used to take the card edge PCB of a floppy drive. Since the genesis had a 64 pin on, I found a 64 pin female with SCSI. So i just soldered on. Works like a charm, but a lot of hacking and time is required.

I haven't, but I'm putting one on my portable... Sonic 2 is better than 1... plus I like Comix Zone too.

I know this is an old post, however, its better this way then adding a new topic.

If you added the slot, can you add a picture of what yours looks like with it on?

What do you need to see? Its wires soldered to solder points, kind of self explainatory.

For me, seeing everything up close is helps me understand more what to expect. I understand that its a lot of soldering, but its just something that helps me get through the whole process.

Hi everyone, i am new to these forums, just thought i'd say hi to all the legendary portabilsers on this board. I agree with xriverfalconx, i would like some closer pcitures, i have just ripped open a radica and have got me a cartridge slot from a broken Mega Drive (Genesis) 2. With a bit of luck i may be able to portabalise it :D
