Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

If you mass produce this, or just sell it to your friends, or whatever, how much will you charge?

nah...only 5 ;)...TRILLION!!!!

....actually, I still have yet to come up with a price...perhaps something in the $250-$350 range...the parts alone cost a good bit :(...but if you send me the GC and screen I'll take off at least a hundred dollars :) (GCs cost $60 and screens are usually around $40)

the screen is really the hardest part to get :(....oh, and I found a great nimh battery pack to use, with a charger included :D

well, I believe I've finally decided on a good price...I'll probably be selling these for around $350....the screen and GC alone cost roughly $115, then the batteries, extra controller, 7.5V regulator, plastic, etc. pile onto the cost :(...not to mention I gotta get some money for the time spent working on these things :P!!!

anyway, I think that's a reasonable price...hell, ben's PS2p price was in the mid $400s, I think...anyway, who would like to be the first one to buy one?

I'm starting to build the first, so if anyone wants it, just send me a PM. I'll be having a website up soon, made by a friend of a friend who's kind of a friend :P, so there'll be lots of pictures and stuff up there :)

Good stuff, just wondering, how stable are these gamecube protables you gonna be selling? im just asking after reading about the number of times you said youd re-done stuff in other threads :p
If its gonna last a good while without needing attention, you can put me down for one

well, my first one I had a lot of trouble with, because it was my first one, but now I think I've refined my GCp making skills ;)...hell, I built one from scratch in 2 weeks, so I'd say I'm getting good with them :D...the only thing that might cause problems could be the disc drive....it was kind of finicky at times, but I figured out the problem and fixed it...also, I'd wire the controller with stranded wire rather than solid so it won't come off as easily ;)...also, of course, lots of hot glue will be used on the controller to make sure nothing breaks off. other than those two possible problems, I would guess that a "sellable" GCp would be really stable :)

If we buy one, can we send you some of the parts we have to cheapen the price? (Gamecube, screen etc....)
