Redoing my SNESp's Case

Post by daleighan »

In the next few weeks, I will be redoing the paint and mountings on the case of my SNESp. I will also be fixing the problems with it. Should I also add an LED mod.

Skip the LED mod. Not worth it in my opinion.

What's the mAh of your current battery? If you're satisfied with the amount of time you can play it currently, then there's no need to change. However, if you're only getting about 1 hour on a charge, then I'd recommend you do the LED mod. As you probably know, it cuts down on power consumption, but sometimes isn't as bright or has uneven lighting. Good luck with revising your SNESp.

I thing Im gunna do the led mod because my battery last only about an hour and a half. It is 2000 mah NiCd, and it is a bit worn down, so I might just get a 3700 Mah NiMh battery from tower hobbies.

Definetly do that. Ni-Cad's are awful batterys. Although, with that new battery you really wouldn't need the LED mod.

Ugh, Ni-Cads. I hate them with a passion. Yeah, as G-force said, you wouldn't really need the LED mod with that new battery. Unless you'd want to do it for the experience working with LED's or just feel like you'd rather have an even longer play time.

i have a 3300mAh Ni-MH with LED mod and I get around 5-6 hours, so you'd probably get around the same.
SNESp - 100%
Protable X - 15% - I need money :(
