psone on a laptop?
I am moving to a small remote place for the summer. They have electricity and washrooms. I will be taking my laptop. Is it possible to hook up a psone to a laptop and use the screen as a monitor?

Yes. It's called ePSXe or Connectix VGS.

you can go to dell.com and look around, they have some part of their webpage that scans your computer and gives you your computer's specs. I used it once before, long, long ago.

As for a controller, get something like the Gravis Gamepad Pro, or one of those Playstation-USB converters. (It's not fun playing Crash 2 or Gran Turismo, among others, on the keyboard!

Yeah, keyboard gaming sucks for anything (all I play are GameBoy games, and I hate it), I'm going to be making one of those Playstation-computer converters someday.
