The real problem is that my plastic sphere-o-bondo was not strong enough, it developed stress cracks.

Wait, you took a Gameboy Color and painted it... black. The absence of color.

You should have used what I did for a plastic dome replacement on the UWGB XBox. It was a little larger than a baseball. Fairly strong but relatively thin.palmertech wrote:The real problem is that my plastic sphere-o-bondo was not strong enough, it developed stress cracks.

It was a clear plastic ball that had contained bracelets or something. Found it at Wal-Mart for $2, I think.
Oops, sorry for the double post.

The color of nothingness is the greatest color of all. Black, red, ad blue are my favorite colors. A lot of my stuff is black. Black ipod, black custom playstation ( the original, not ps1), my black gbc, my many black band shirts, and my soon to be black and blood red sega dreamcast.Wait, you took a Gameboy Color and painted it... black. No I am not emo, I just like hard rock and metal and black.

Ozzy fan, then themadhacker? Mine is Twisted Sister (I like Dee Snider), although I wouldn't use that as an avatar!
Black isn't "nothingness", black isn't an absence of colour either - black is a SHADE, as is white; (and grey). They are not colours, therefore you cannot have a favourite colour as "black" as there isn't one.
Emo is nothing to do with heavy metal (laughable!
). "Emo" are just attention-seeking self harming stupid kids who dress like girls, and deserve a slap; or if you want to be really mean, throw away their lipstick and eyeliner!

I love twisted sister!
And, I wasn't saying that metal makes emos. I was saying that that makes me not emo, if that makes any sense.
EDIT: yes, I am a very big ozzy fan.

In art, printing, whatever art is argubly a color, argubly a shade. In science black is the abscence of light and by extension colour.bacteria wrote:Black isn't "nothingness", black isn't an absence of colour either - black is a SHADE, as is white; (and grey). Re: My handheld contest entry: the super gbc!
Actually, to be padantic:
In printing (eg offset litho), there are over 170 shades of "black", all described as black. Unless you have a true jet black, then technically, the black will be a colour as it will contain a small percentage of colour verses black. For example, a black T-shirt will not be jet black, especially after being washed; it will look slightly blue or stone colour, etc - so then tecnhically becomes a colour but is not black, for the reasons below - still means "black" can't be a colour though!
In science, black is not an absence of light - in space, there are no surfaces in the void of space so light cannot be sent back to your eye, hence black. You see colours by the reflection of colours not absorbed by an object; so for example, if you see green from a leaf for example, then red (magenta) is being absorbed by the leaf but blue and yellow are refracted, the mix of blue and yellow means you see green. White is when the surface doesn't absorb any colours and refracts all three colours, hence white - black is the opposite; all three primary colours are absorbed and no refractions, hence no colours being seen, hence black! (phew).
