forgot to mention, try to get some kind of heatsinc for it, since they get really hot. A little heat grease wouldn't hurt much either.

I snapped off the middle leg, soldered the +5V lead to the nes power input, and bent the 7805 to a ground strip behind it and soldered the ground plates together.

How would I put the heatsink on to the 7805? Do I have to solder it or what?
