Paint?

Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!

Paint?

Post by Rellizate »

Hey,
I am not sure if this is the right forum to be posting in.

Anyway, I was wondering what type of paint should I use for paint my Portables case, and the controller for my Xbox's case. They are both plastic. Also, do I need any type of Primer? I would really like to use spray paint, is that an option?

Regards,
Dom Hudson.

Spray paint is a must for smooth painting, so yes, use it. For primer, it's nice for forming and if you are using any sealant or bondo, I would put a few coats of primer on primarily. I've heard Krylon is a good paint, but I use anything I can find at home depot. In other words, it doesn't matter to much.

i recommend the normal krylon primer then krylon spraypaint, and clear coat after it, i used clear coat on my GC controller and it feels like its painted way better than my portables

There needs to be a sticky about paint, we've had several paint related questions in the last couple weeks and a bunch are repeats.

I'm not taking a blow at the author, I just didn't want to make a new thread.

I'll take a blow at him - there's like five posts on this page alone that have the word "paint" in the title. How hard is it to read 2-3 threads with the word "paint" in the title? I don't think there needs to be a new sticky, how about we write something in one of the sticky's we have?
