Could you please explain that? I didn't quite understand it.it would likely be at the thinest an inch and the X and Y would be about the same as the SNES board

I was planning on making mine custom out of fiberglass. And of COURSE the first thing I'm going to do is be happy it works. But then I want to make an ub3r small case for it.

sounds alright, but like I said there is a minimum size and once you start building you will realize this. I almost guarentee that your portable (being the first) will not be smaller than most completed portables. sorry if i sound negative it's just that you are critisizing others when you haven't even made a portable yet. good luck

Ok say your using something like CAD, you have an X, Y, and Z dementions. X is length, Y is width and Z is depth. Now as I said Z (depth) is likely going to be at the thinest an inch. I dont know the length and width of the SNES mini board (or the orginal for that matter), that is way I said the X and Y of the board.
