Most easy to make case for snesp?

Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!

Most easy to make case for snesp?

Post by MarioTennis »

I do not want to go into making a case with plastic or sending away for one. I would like to make a case out of something i can buy locally. I am thinking about buying a pencil case, or would it be to small?

And hers is my big question, what is the most easiest, cheapest, and conveint case for making a snes portable?

I am a total beginner at this, as you may see,

Thanks,

MarioTennis

I suggest using engraving plastic and nylon spacers. This will allow you to screw the backplate on and use the spacers to guide aluminum strips as side walls. Get Ben's book for the full view...

If you end up doing the case in ben's book (with the engraving plastic, spacers, and metal siding) keep in mind that your measurements on the engraving plastic must be perfect, or else it won't work... I had this same discussion with Ghost*insert random numbers here* a while back. I think he ended up doing what I suggested, and that is buying a project enclosure. They are available at radioshack (they always have them in stock) you just have to find the correct size. They are also super cheap. the most expensive one I've seen at radioshack was about 8 bucks.

You could use a VHS case. It would fit fine assuming you're using a mini. And no screws needed, oooo. (you'll need a special glue though). You could also just frankenstein the original case.
