Found a site w/instructions to fix NES connectors

Post by MM007 »

http://www.classicgaming.com/features/a ... nesrepair/

I stumbled across this site today, and am happy I did. I tried this method and the connector grabs carts a lot better, and I can see the top row of connectors bend as far as they'll go! ^^

Once the paint on my case is dry(I am spray painting my old NES case back and white instead of grey and beige. ^^) I'll reassemble the unit.

Then, I'll probably try it with my other 3 NESes lying around. ^^

it wears out the pins on them, probably. I haven't seen the article yet, but that's a common downside with fixes out there.

if the pins on the connector are worn to the point that they dont make contach, then this is the only fix. Unless you want to buy a new connector.
