Game Gear Problems

Post by sonicboy »

Hi,

I have two gg's, but lately i have strange problems with both of them. The screen doesn't lit up enough to see what's going on. I have to turn the brightness controller to full light to see something (and then it's still dark).
You can compare it with the sound problem, but then with the screen.

The strange fact is that i have this on both my gamegears??? So I don't know what's going on. Does someone has the same problem, or does anyone know an solution to this problem?

Thanx anyway

Sounds like either low batterys, or the compact fluorescent tube is going out. If you think it's the latter, you could do an LED mod pretty easily on it. (I would do it anyways just to save power)

I don't think it's from low power. I always play with an adaptor. I already opened one of the gg's and removed the screen from the back. When moving the brightness controller, I don't notice any chance of light of the tube.
So I don't think it's a problem of the tube, but from the screen itself.
