has any one ever heard of a .psf image file because someone sent me a pic and its in that format and i cant view it

It's a photostudio graphic file, I'd recommend going to http://filext.com when you have an unknown file type.

you can change the image to a .jpg Go to my computer find the image then change .psd to .jpg Ex: Photo.psd = Photo.jpg
Highlight .psd delete it and type in .jpg Then import the image into Microsoft Word.

first of all, it's a .psf file, and second, that won't work.
The file extension is only needed for file recognition. The data in the file will still be the same.

could it be that PSFs are JPEGs in different clothes?

According to fileext it's a proprietary format of this program.

Ummmm.... That works on the computers we use at school. It basily tells the image file to reformat itself into a .jpg file unstead of a .psf

*edit- we use that same version of photoshop at school and I used that trick because the .psd file (in my case) was getting croped off the canvas.
