i am new to portables and i need as much help on making a n64 portable. I would like to know what the n64 needs for power and how large it is with a screen and controller.

i'm making a guide but i havn't gotten to the controller part yet. the size is in the other thread you made: 6.25" x 5" BTW, use the edit button if you have something to add to your last post instead of making a new one.

thanks im picking up a 64 tonight. Can it run on a 9v batt. That would be ideal.

9v batts are really low capacity and probably can't even turn on an N64. get something bigger and rechargable like RC car battery, DVD player battery or 6 rechargable AAs or anything 7.2-9v with at least 2000 mah (more would be better-longer battery life). try to get an old one with a solid grey, not clear case. older ones are more durable.

oh yeah that power diagram with the numbers was made for the new revised guide that'll have a list of what the numbers are, oops :oops: . DC-DC convertor is #6 on it
