Sound takes a ton of power

i found out my 12v 3300mah batteries power bothe the n64 and psone screen without sound for almost 5hr 30mins m-azing are u

still though thats a huge increase from th 1hr i was getting before

its the psone screen speakers i was very surprised when it lasted that long it lased from 8pm to 12:55 so more like 5hrs then the backlight went out

so i might not do the led mod now and i might just add more cells for longer time or somethinlike that

fixed the title...no reason for it to be unappealing

. oh, and that avatar is a bit wierd....it's not really scary (IMHO, at least), but it could get annoying to see after a while. you should probably change it. oh, and do you think you could measure the draw of the screen with no sound? I don't think it'll go down THAT low (to get 5 times the battery life), but it should drop a decent bit....well, I suppose if no sounds on, then perhaps the audio amp is shut off somehow....

by any chance did you have the sound up all the way when you tested it because it seems like when the volume is all the way up in my portables it causes the battery to drain much faster. i think its only with 7.2 volt batteries also because my GCp doesnt have a problem with it like my NESp and snesp do

there is a simple solution then dont turn the sound up so high

thanks im really trying hard to get it done before feb so im still questioning whether or not to do the led mod or not since it last so long without it. in order to discover whether or not to do this i will need a red bull 2 rubber gloves a fender guitar string and a copy of king kong for the gamrcube oh and a AOL 90 day free membership
