Hey guys i've made a nesp before and i came across a super fun 3 a bit ago and i thought that i could make it into a really small nesp. So when i got home i found that it was a famicom (60 pin connector). So i said to my self crap because i would have sworn that the carts ran on deferent voltages and the nes cart has a 21 mhz clock. So i searched the internet and found this man who did it, Ben. I saw that he was able to just solder a 72 pin edge connector right to the board. i 'm glad that i saw it because i now new that it was possible to hook it up but the problem is ben never labled or had a schematic of what pin goes where. and they had all the pinnouts on the carts but there was a couple of missing things that i'm not sure of, infact a whole 12 pins. What do i do with the clock what do i do with the lockout crap what do i do with the expantion bay pins leave it floating? ground ?

I'm not entirely sure, but I'm fairly certain that the Japanese famicom's clock was the same as the American one (both are NTSC systems). The PAL version, IIRC, is the one with a different clock (PAL games would run faster than normal on an NTSC famicom... I think).

I'd say to let the expansion port wires float, or even clip 'em. if you ground it, one of them is probably the power source and that probably would not work, especially if it is +5v directly from the system.

Yeah i bought 2 of the super joys just if i screwed up one you know. Yeah and as for a conector from ganon. idon't know i would rather keep it small and conectors can be sketchy i would feal more comfertable just soldering it right to the board
