because IIRC, VGA connectors are basically RGB connections with a latch (I guess) lead which tells the screen when to "wake up" and display the image.
I'm asking because in my room I have my PS2 hooked up to my VCR, which sends the channel 3 signal to my RF-only TV. I've got a couple Dell Trinitron screens in the garage, and I think the 21" one has RGB. (not too sure though, I'll look later.) And I can only imagine how kickarse the PS2 games must look in RGB.
I'm thinking I might be able to connect the proper plugs onto the PS2 RGB cable and hook them up to the computer screen's RGB input. However, I'm not entirely sure they both have RGB, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and say they both only have VGA connectors.
Any ideas?
EDIT(s): VGA pinouts- http://pinouts.ru/data/VGA15_pinout.shtml
EDIT2: YES! The 21" screen has RGB!
I still want to use the 17" screen in my bedroom, because the 21 incher is basically stuck there.
EDIT 3: OK, I did some research, and if you send a standard RGB signal into a VGA connector the screen gives an error or, inthe worst-case scenario, dies. I don't want that to happen, so I'm guessing plugging the RGB lines for the PS2 into the RGB lines on the screen should work? Is it a standard signal? If you need any additional info, I'll tell you.
EDIT 4: This is the screen with RGB connectors: http://www.sell.com/2TZ9G (the one I have)
C'mon, people, I need help please!
