PS2 Portable

Post by JackFrost22 »

Well I haven't given up on my Dcp(if anyone even remembers) but I thought a PS2p would be cooler. I would make it out of a version 3 or 4 PS2 not the new one unless I fall into a botomless pit of money. The point would be to have a portable SOCOM II console. I know to PSP is coming out but I don't want to learn new controls just to play mobile, The PS2p would have a built in USB network adapter so I could play online in the new cyber cafe by my house. Since its for SOCOM II shopulder buttons are key so if anyone has button placement ideas or something. Thanks in advance.

here's a few tips.
A gba style ps2p is almost impossible without having custom parts made for it and equipment for smt soldering.
A gb style ps2p is pretty easy, the only problems are power and button placement. :)

For button placement, here is what i would do. Get a hardcover book. Hold it in the air, like a controller, so the spine is facing up. I would put the LR1 buttons on the spine, and the lr2 buttons on the back. Thats how they will be on my N64pv2

I've decided to do that T thing ben did with his PSP. I am gonning to put the shouler buttons on the t so you can press then like normal. Also how important is the heat sink and can you replace it or take it off completely?
