Portable gamecube?

Post by Cyberblade »

Why hasn't anyone built one yet? You'd think it would be one of the first next gen systems to be portablized due to it's small size, but yet, everyones focusing on PS2.

gamelvr has been working on one. The problem with the ps2, xbox, and gamecube is that they still cost a lot of money, and many people don't want to risk breaking them.

Hey calm down not one of the 4 128bit consoles haven been made portable. The Dreamcast was on its way, but then Poppe fell off the face of the Earth. The PS2 is looked at more then the NGC as it plays DVD movies and the PS2 has oh about twice the number of games. Building the NGC to be portable isnt going to be easy anyways as you have a specialized computer your working with there. I say that as the NGC has an ATI graphics processor. Not forgetting to mention that the NGC's guts are crammed into that little case, so you have your work cut out for you finding a way to compact it more.

The only 32/64bit system thats as complecated as the 128bit systems would be the saturn as it wasnt ment to be just a consoel, sega wanted it to be an entertainment system too.
