"Note! This mod will not allow you to play EUROPEAN/PAL games! These games differ not only in cartridge shape, but in display speed (PAL vs NTSC) and they have different ROMs. I have seen cartridge adapters available but given their price and availability, you might be better off to get another system."

Soundwave is correct, I live in the u.k and the games are much slower. I did not notice normally but once i played an ntsc game they about 30% faster.

If the mod was unsuccessful you could allways put it back the way it was aslong as you write down what you de-soldered and where ect. I believe there is a special cartdridge slot the exists that is pal but connects into a ntsc snes. But i don't think it would disable the lockout.

Erm... i have no idea what to cut an attach but i'm sure you can figure it out, try asking other members.

EDIT: Actually the mod looks quite simple just remove pin 4 off and solder a wire to where the pin was then conect the wire to ground.

Above you can see what to do with the chip.
