PSone controller guts
While reading through Ben's book, I noticed that he never showed the button board of the PSone controller. This bothers me because I got a PSone (literally, not a Playstation) at a garage sale for $4 without a controller or AV cable (but it was in perfect condition and works great
!) and want to build his CNC portable. The problem is I would like to use the original control board, but I don't know if it will fit. It would also be great if the shoulder button sub boards would fit too, I think they would if they got cut apart and reconnected…

About this controller
I have this controller too, but the one in the book is different... For starters, the screw hole next to the LED picture in the last post is on the wrong side
Also, the ribbon cable does not exist on the controller in the book... Also, the controller in the book shows 9 controller connections, while this one has only 8....if you look at the connector cable itself, I bet there is a pin missing, so there are only 8 pins.
I'm trying to figure out how to wire one of these 8 pin controllers using the MOD because it has a step where you would connect pin 8 to pin 2, but since one of those connectors is missing completely, I don't know if it will work, or if the pinouts are different for this model...
Anyone have any ideas?
