attempting snesp!

Hey folks, I am attempting a SNESp, completely new at this so any help would be appreciated. I'll try to post pics and update if anyone is interested. I will be using a gamecube hip gear screen for this try.

Don't desolder everything at once!!! Make sure it keeps working after everything you do (so keep multi-tap on until end if you have to remove it at all) because I fried my sound on my SNES board and had to manually re hook up an RCA cable to find that out.
But the SNES was free so no loss here just need a new one.

Yeah, but don't actually leave anything (AV jacks, RF box, controller ports, gray tabs on cartridge slot, etc…) on in the end, it makes the SNES (or mini, I am referring to the mini here) too big, as it is very thin and small without all that junk. If you must have a second controller port, put the entire thing (if you have a mini, slice off the player 1 port) on the outside of the unit (hot glue it) and cut a small hole for the wires underneath the port. If you must have an AV out, determine whether you want composite, S-Video or RGB, because the more stuff, the bigger the out. If you NEED RGB, keep the multi-out (solder wires from the original location of the out and attach them to the multi-out, you can have a switch for internal/external video), if you just need composite, use the auxilary jack from the PSone screen, if you need S-Video, use a headphones jack, a Y-cable (stereo minijack to L/R RCA plugs) and have a full-size S-Video out on the unit.

i would reccomend desoldering the controllor ports and the DC jack and once you get it to run on a tv off batteries just get rid of the av jack
