Is there any hope?

Is there any hope?

Post by atkafighter »

Hi,
I was testing my snesp before putting it all in the case and I think one of the shoulder buttons came in contact with the power switch on the snes. Now it won't power up (no led). Is the board gone? Im going to jump the fuse in a minute and jump the power switch and see if that works.
I hope I don't need another snes, but if I do anyone got one for cheap (not mini)?
Thanks

Whew I jumped the fuse and the snesp works again. *stops crying* Anyone know if the fuse (old board in the gap of the pcb) is available at radio shack? If not its ok I shouldn't have any more problems with my snesp *sniff*. I wasn't crying its just allergies I think there are forces beyond me and you that wants me to complete this portable.

Nope those fuses are not replacable. Be glad you got a seond chance at it, and hope to see it complete. Talk to Gannon or Spongebuell about getting it put on Doomportable or added to the LPC.

Oh I was thinking they were surface mounted. Like with the Playstation and N64.

That's good to know Radon. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for a 1amp picofuse. My snesp is about 95% complete *fingers crossed* after I build the walls and mount my controls it will be finished!

Mounted the controls yesterday, they work/feel great. The snesp was working last night but today *cries* the snes won't power on (all I did was bring it to my friend's place). I know the battery is not the problem because the screen backlight comes on. I've already bypassed the fuse before so I'm fairly sure the snes is gone now. If anyone knows of something that would help me I would appreciate it.

Snesp progress = 98% needs walls *no longer running*
I think there are forces beyond me and you that wants me to complete this portable. Shocked

What I meant to say was that I think forces are acting on me to NOT finish my portable.
