Hi,
Just wondering would wiring the power this way work?
I have the video and sound working but Im not sure how to do the power. If I connected the 7.5 input (pin 1) to the positive ac adapter and the ground (pin 2) to the ground on the ac adapter that would work right? This is also where i connect my battery (7.2v rc car battery should work right?). Im trying to keep the wiring as simple as possible. I might add an on/off switch (using the original snes on/off switch) which should go between the battery and the board right?
Thanks
But make sure the AC adapter has enough mA to power the PSOne screen and the SNES (?). If it has less than 1000 mA and your PSOne screen is not LED modded, it probably won't work well.
Yeah you may be right usbcd36. Maybe my battery isn't fully charged but I can't find the charger right now. Can someone test a psone screen (without the led mod) with a 7.2v battery and see if it should work for me. In the meantime I will be searching for my charger.
Or I could have the lcd hooked up incorrectly for power. I only have pins 1 and 2 in use in slot 1. So I only have the 7.5v input and one ground connected (it shouldn't matter how many grounds I use right?)
Ok I'm not sure that I'm reading that right. If your trying to power the screen (and if its a PSone screen) its not going to work. The PSone screen needs to have 7v put in not 5v. Ben and otheres have tried to make the screen run on 5 however there is something that needs 7. If you put power from the batter to the screen directly you should have a working diagram.

Ok, its all wired up correctly and I have a problem. I've checked all my connections and I still get no sound. Since my psone lcd is not led modded I think the problem is my battery (7.2v 1500maH rc car battery which is also quite old) because everything else works fine. If I ever find a bigger battery how high should I go? I was thinking that because my psone lcd is not led modded I should go up to about 8.2-8.4 (because they make rc batteries in those voltages)
Thanks

1500mA? Wow! I'd say if you dont mind draining it all the way get the Ni-CD from RadioShack its 2000mA. Or go on ebay and buy a battery that is just like the radioshack but its Nii-MH and is 3000mA.
