I have a borked old ps2 (ribbon cable broke) and a slimline

I dont really want to take my slimmy apart, but I am wondering what I should do with the old ps2... try to find a replacement ribbon cable (the power and eject ribbon cable) or make it a portable... I would prefer buying a new ribbon cable but both are options...

buy a replacement or solder the ribon cable back together. i highly recomend portablizing it
