NEED help on 9pin gamepads!!!!!!!!!!

Hi am pretty new when it comes to modding and stuff and have little/basic knowledge of modding. But anyway i have an amiga 1200 and love it to bits the only downside i would say is there is loads of platform games(and others!) where for some reason people thought up on joystick/joypad would be a desirable jump button and its really not so i was wondering if it was possible to mod a Megadrive (genesis) control so the up and c button are the other way round. As games would be so much more playable! this mod doesnt have to be on a megadrive pad any 9 pin gamepad will do its just megadrive pads are cheap. Basicly i need a control where the up button is secondry fire and a button would be up(jump) any help would be much appreciated thanks.
