I finally broke down, traded in my gamecube and bought an Xbox. Been playing knight of the old republic for a couple days now. I've logged so many hours. Man, I'm having fun.

Be sure not to make your gaming an obsession.

Besides that you'll like having an Xbox I'm sure, there are soo many mods for it. Not to forget its fully developed Linux (without need for mod chip).

no Halo yet. I plan to get it of course, but a friend has an extra copy, so when we have our network parties, everything works out fine.

You going to get halo2? IF enough of us on the board got it we could just have our meetings well playing Halo, that would be fun.

Yeah it would. Wasted Druid, if you own an xbox, you need halo NOW. I hate to run with the crowd, but halo is my favorite game. Once you play some GOOD lan games, u understand why, maybe u already have. Sparkfist, gettin together for sume Halo2 would be awesome. You got live? My gamertag is omegabullit on there also.

If you like knights of the old republic (which I have and love) look into fable that comes out next month, kights of the old repubilc 2 comes out in a while, and jade empire. Halo is sweet to it's so much fun but gets a little of the same after a while. Last year after school I'd go to over to my friends house and we'd play that with another kid or basketball. But look into those games. And if you any of you like the gta games go look into the scar face game their coming out. It looks pretty sweet. If they get those groups set up we'll have to set one up just for the benheck furom people.

I'm in, I plan on getting Live a little before 11/9, but I will be getting it.
I thought it was a foregone conclusion that every Xbox owner had already preordered or planned on preordering Halo 2 though. Am I wrong?

YOU WHAT?! You traded a gamecube for an Xbox? Dude, you got ripped off. GCN has so much better games then Xbox, not to mention it actually fits in a TV cabinet. Halo is the most over-rated game ever, and the sequels just being hyped up because Microsoft wants something to look good on it. Seriousley, I would've kept the Gamecube if I were you but tis your stuff.

I have an xbox and gamecube and play my xbox so much more. I love it. The gamecube games get a little repetive after a while. Atleast their game sequels sell.

Sonic had so many sequels on there that didn't even sell that great. Mega collection, dx, and some others. I know the xbox is better.

I purchased a used one back in December. Has a Samsung drive, as I wanted to mod it and put Linux on it. I havn't touched it since.
