The flip64. Finally* going somewhere. *Hopefully

Alright, here is my third topic on my flip64, hopefully this one doesnt get attacked by people wanting to win an argument. I dont mind a few off-topic posts here and there, but when people continue to argue about who was on topic, it gets REALLY annoying.

So, I left off at I think the week before thanksgiving, and I just got my screen. Its one of the 3.5'' screens from ebay, are they all basically the same? I would like to use RGB, but I dont know where I should be hooking everything up. Here is a datasheet I found that could be the right chip. http://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet- ... The numbers printed are: TW9910 Im pretty sure that is the part number, thats what came up with results on a google search.

I have the paint, screen, speakers/amp, and controller parts. I can build most of it, but I wont be able to completely paint it till I get the batteries. And I have no money

Alright. Samll update, I put the first coat of white painton it, after getting the curves and everything smooth, and the way I want it.

No pics, however, because my computer broke, and I'm using a pentuim 200 Mhz, 48 mb ram, running win 2000 right now.... It's so slow! hahahahaha

I'm hopefully going to get a volume control worked out for my amp, I have no batteries, and I think thats about it. Hold tight, pics should come soon

This. I remember starting big downloads at 11 P.M. and just letting it run all night. File would usually be there by morning.

What did you use to replace the heat sink?

Its a heat sink from an SNES on the 7805 regulator, pounded flat. (and then another layer of it added on to reach the ram)

They will be attached on the back, with a plastic case over them..... if that makes any sense

Anyway, I just found out that the amp that I bought isn't stereo So there's really no point in trying to put a volume control on it if I want stereo sound. Hahaha Does anyone have a part number to a cheap stereo sound amp?

And so, here is the picture of my case right now, all I need is a little bit more sanding, then (hopefully) the final coat of white paint. Just to let you know, the final color is not white

I also think I need to paint my control nub.......

That's all I have for now! Oh! does anyone know if I can input RGB on this screen? I thought someone did it before with this same screen, unless the cheap Chinese company all of a sudden switched the circuitry in these things.....

What analog stick is that? I'm guessing it's sliding?

Its an analog from a Mad Catz GC controller, and I made a disk out of epoxy putty, then used gorilla glue to put that white button on top of it. I might change it, because it might not be strong enough.

This is going to be an extremely tight squeeze to get everything in the case, but I guess the N64 controller wings add a bit of extra room

Alright, small update, I found an audio amp, part number lm4816. The only issue is that its very hard to find..... Anyways, I'm broke, and I dont know if I can do much without my batteries, because I think its important to know how big the case needs to be before I build it

I may reconsider my original paint idea, because this looks amazing!

And I am going to put the back side of the N64 wings on it. (obviously )
