okay so I am currently done with making my casing, and im starting to place the chips and boards into it, and i was wondering what's the point of these metal containters around the mother board and such, they just get in the way
I assume it's a Rf shield that's what i think but I looked up on wikipidea and i don't get the concept can someone tell me in a simple way like i was two
also is it possible to solder two wires to one pin cause i was thining about making my handheld a hybrid, have it so that i can have one wire going to the screen and another wire to use as my own video cord, and same with left audio as well as right,
that way i can make my own red, white, and blue cables that i use to plug my consoles into the tv
need some answers

Re: need some answers
RF shield are used to block electromagnetic radiation, for example in a normal home AC power comes in at 60Hz so there is a lot of 60Hz electromagnetic radiation coming from lights, outlets, and such.
also from radio towers, cell phones, basically any piece of electronic equipment. using an RF shield blocks this interference from having any unwanted effects on your electronic device (some chips are very susceptible to magnetic interference).
and i know a two year old might not understand what i just wrote, but i'm banking on the fact that you are not two years old.
