red light on power brick

any ideas on a fix? not sure what happened. i let it sit for 2 hours and i get the red light as soon as i turn it on. i have a spare brick but really dont want to have to redo it all if i dont have to.

Tried a different power brick and still does the same thing. Any thoughts?

Have to redo all of what? If you've done something to the 360 then that's most likely where the problem is, as a Red light on the PSU typically means there's a short in the 360 somewhere.
Screwing up is one of the best learning tools, so long as the only thing you're not learning is how to screw up.

take it out of the wall for about 30 seconds

And leave it plugged into the Xbox still.

Then, press the POWER button on the 360 2-3 times, and that should clear the Capacitors in the PSU.


Finally, leave it unplugged for a little while longer.

still no luck. :( must of shorted the mobo somewhere, which realy sucks! guess i will wait tell i get the ok from the wife to buy another xbox. but thanks for the tips guys.

It's a modded power brick, right? Try using a different power brick.
