amps

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

... and the verge Gamecube/Xbox and PSOne screen current as well?

I have high reason to believe that the Verge Game Screens are the same thing as the PSOne screens, just different PCBs.

Do you have the screen? If so, test it. Remember that almost any screen will have a much lower power draw after the LED mod.

Email the sender and ask. Almost every electrical "appliance" says right on it.

My Verge screen plugs in-line with the Gamcube, so it runs off of 12V at 3.25A. When I tested the screen I got a 7.5V reading with 130mA. Can someone with a PS1 Screen tell me the current rating for it? Im damn sure the Verge Screen is a PS1 Screen.

some of you seem to have some missconseptions on how these things work read through this

http://science.howstuffworks.com/question501.htm and
http://science.howstuffworks.com/electricity3.htm

a devise desides how meny amps it will draw from a power sourse for this perpose you cant have to meny but you can have not enoth you dont want to draw more amps than the power sourses capasity

now for volts you can have to meny and you can also have not enoth

im not great at explaining things so im trying to dumb it down as much as I can so people can understand

in the case of the psone screen most people say it requires 750mA unmodded if you want to find out mow much a patticulat devise souch as outher screens you would use a mulitemeter and it will tell you how much it is drawing match the volts and get the amps over the devises needs and it will be fine then in the case of batterys you would check the amp hour rateing to see how long it can power the devise at the paticular amp draw an exsample is a devise runs on 500mA (1000mA =1A) and the battersy amp hour rateing is 1Ah then you have 2 hours of battery life
