Car LCD

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Im new and crrently deciding on a screen. After some searching I found a screen that is the perfect size for my portable Pyle PLHR-4M. I just wanted to know if it would work and how hard it is to hack.

looks good :D . if you want a screen that's good for portibalizing and easy to find instructions for hacking, i suggest sony psone screen but that one looks like it would be pretty easy hack. considering it has AV inputs, all you probably need to do is give it batteries

I would use the psone screen but its too big  . I need to fit it into a 7"L X 4 3/4"H Box. I was gonna use 1 NP-F770 but its to big and I need 12 volts. Can you suggest some small batteries I can use with high mAH.

I just got a Verge Gamecube Travel Screen from Circuit City Online for $55USD (free shipping for me). Take a look into that, it might just fit your needs. It seems to me that is is a PSOne screen, but with a smaller PCB Board. I havent cracked the screen open (and I probabbly wont, I allready killed one screen) so I cant tell for sure.

And this screen quality is GREAT!. If I can get this thing in RGB mode, im going to have to buy new underpants.
