NES in a imac g4

so it has occurred to me that the drive on my old imac g4 is about the right size for a nes cartridge.
so im looking to shove my nes in there
my problem is that the monitor supposedly has some proprietary hookup
do anyone have advice as to a brand of lcd screen that would fit in the display panel..theres not much room
or if anyone knows how to convert the video signal to the old monitor that would be even better but everything ive read leads me to believe that would be extremely difficult

You should replace the existing monitor with a PC monitor.
How big is the current monitor?

an nes can't be hooked up to a vga monitor. try a small tv.
