PS3 Info... Size, Cost, etc?

So, I've wanted to build a PS2 laptop for awhile, and I've wanted to buy a PS3 for awhile, so why not do a backwards compatible PS3 laptop and kill two birds?

So, I've scoured the web, but for the life of me I can't find the motherboard sizes on the phat PS3.

I also have a question that's probably been asked before, but how much does a CNC'd laptop case usually cost for Ben or anyone else?

Ben, well, too much.

Others, well, it varies. These things aren't very hard to make unless you want it cut negative (like Ben's new Xbox 360 laptops and his Commodore 64 laptop, his new Atari 800 laptop), as those cost DOUGH. Not really, except people expect to pay cheap for a case, but remember it's custom.

Other than that, good luck on your quest. If you get a 60 GB PS3 you can save yourself some troubles and have backwards compatibility built in, by the way.

Not a case MADE by ben, just a case. Any case, around that size and shape, etc. From any company.

When you say negative, are you talknig about the ones he cuts from blocks of plastic instead of sheets put together? If not, explain please?

So I've figured out that a 17" LCD is about 9 X 15 inches.

Anybody know the PS3 board size?

The dimensions for the whole PS3 are 12.8 x 3.8 x 10.8". From some pictures I've seen, the main board is just a bit smaller than the case, maybe 12x9". Why not tear apart a PS3 and measure it, you'll need a PS3 anyway to build a laptop.
