gba transverter

Post by gannon »

how I want a gba transverter, but from what I hear, the company that made them were sued by the company that made the gba tv converter, and now it's almost impossible to find them!
Now whenever I try searching for one they are trying to sell them for around $60!!
I'm wondering though, does the gba player for the gamecube output a/v directly??

I've got no idea, but I personally got mine for only 30 bucks. Just search around, find one without any bids, and deny all masculine urges to duke it out with the other bidders until you finally win it for a thousand dollars and a rice krispy treat, instead bidding on it at the VERY last second.

it's how I got mine so cheap. and I even got to keep the rice krispy treat!

Out of curiosity, just what are you going to do with something already portable?(I've got my own ideas, but I'm keeping them secret until I at least have them down on paper so I don't look like a total idiot.)

Easy, I love 2d games a lot better than 3d games so I would love to put a 5" lcd in it.

Also, I've been using ebay since early 1996, and I almost always snipe things unless I don't really care if I get them or not. The problem is that the transverter is even hard to find on ebay.

Have you tried searching for a converter instead of a transverter? That's how I got mine.

Five inch LCD....I'm actually planning on doing something similar....Except mine shall be a tiny arcade module(arcade joysticks and buttons and the like).

From the reviews I've read, the converter is nowhere near the quality of the transverter, and the transverter can be easily hacked to output rgb which would work great with the ps1 lcd.

I don't have anything to compare with, but the one I got looks great. Then again, the transverter might look a thousand times better, but the converter is more than good enough.

Here is this the one you want

That's the only one I could find around. Have you checked yahoo auctions they have some pretty hard to find stuff on there at reasonable prices.

Actually, that's the same one I have.

of course, I'm pretty sure the box on mine says transverter on it, not converter, so it's possible I actually got the rather rare and high quality transverter....

Ah well.

Here's the review and comparison between the gba tv converter and the gba transverter.

I'm not really seeing any major difference. Ah well, mine's more than good enough, so I'm happy.

Now to get a few more dozen and do every single major design change on the GBA(console, bigger portable, arcade module, etc.) known to man!

And several known to monkeys.
