Pc headset to 360?

If I were to by a NON usb headset, could I use an adapet to allow me to use it on my xbox? I assume you could but I am curious weather or not there are any kind of issues. It is microsoft we are talking about here.

Any headset with a 2.5mm jack can be used. If your headset has a 3.5mm jack you can get an adapter.

Just by a turtle beach headset which works with both xbox and pc.

If you are doing this to save some money, go for it!
I use cheapy headsets from circa 1995! Yay!
(Sadly, the mics and sound quality are about the same compared to the 360 headset. Those things are so cheap.)
