double screen in double xbox wireing question
so, i posted this on Xboxscene.net forums, but they didnt post 1 freakin thing, i was hopen the people here would help shed some light
here is the deal, i am gunna build a really modded xbox. the xbox will have....well, lets put it this way, its going to be 2 xbox's in one case....5 hd's, and then 2 ps1 screens on the top of the xbox.
here is what i want. i want (or somthing to the effect of) the two screens to be mounted on the top of the xbox (i can do that), then powerd off the molex power connectors powering the hd's (easy). Then get the video signal from the xbox to the Lcd panel (done). But this is where i dont know what to do.
since their are two screen, they will both have on-off switched, i can do that also, but i also want a kinda of.....select switch. it goes something like this.
ON(1)-OFF-ON(2).
OFF = neither of the screens will go through to the tv (tv gets no video)
ON(1) = Xbox 1 will send video to tv and screen (if screen is powerd on)
ON(2) = Xbox 2 will send video to tv and screen (if screen is powerd on)
it doesnt matter if this uses the stock A/V out connector on the back.
please help!!!

No... They make switches with 3 positions.... Centered, neither circuit is connected. The lever to the left connectes the first pin witht he center pin, completeing a circuit, the lever to the far rigth completes a circuit witht he far right pin and the center. So... Patch you main power line tot he center pin, and your first LCD tot he left pin, and your second LCD tot he right pin... Flip it to the left, the first LCD is on, flip it to the right, the second LCD is on... Keep switch is center, neither LCD is on... Neither can be on at same time either...

double monitor madness
i do intend to use both monitors at the same time.
their will be 2 complete xbox's inside the case. and each one will have its own screen (or) i can flip a switch, and make one go to the tv.
as the person above i dont think got.
the power will be run off a normal on-off toggle. thats pie. i am already doing that with a single screen. and doing two is simple enough also. but getting it to pick which one will go all the way throught to the tv is beyond what i can do...i think. i cant figure it out. i might be able to as time goes on...

money
i dont drink, or do drugs, i am lucky enough to still live with my mom. i pay rent by doing everything around the house. so the money i do get i spend on food. so this should be a fun project. my computer has been the main place i put a lot of money, it has two 200gb hd's, two 10,000rpm 36.7 hd's in RAID0. , a Asus A7V600, 1gig of ram (expensive ram), AMD 3000+, Radeon 9700 pro, 2 19" flat CRT's, dvd burner. yeah. im waiting a while to upgrade to PCI-E, and 64BIT AMD-FX
