OK
I know this is obvious, and has been answerred before, but I just want to double check.
When you charge a battery, you apply the charger voltage to the possitive terminal of the battery, right?
Also, how do you discharge a battery?

Im pretty sure + on the charger goes to the + on the battery and the - on the battery goes to the - on the battery. And a battery can be discharged by attaching a load to it till it drains. You could use a light bulb, led, motor, whatever.

Thanks.
I meant, how do you automatically fast discharge. Like what the chargers for some batteries do.

I think they just use something like a 1M 10W resistor.
