Premade battery compartments from OKW

Just passing along something I saw in an email I received from OKW Enclosures. They now offer premade battery compartments that can be placed in any project box (or vacuum-formed case ). Here's the link, if you're interested. I think I will try using a couple of these for my next project. They're cool because they are more than just battery holders - they are the whole compartment with a lid! And they sit flush with the outside of the case. Add a wee bit of bondo or something and it should be seamless, if you want it to be.

eww, paint? that wouldn't blend in with real wood at all.

Another option is to use battery compartments from old remote controls, or plug'n'play units, or whatever - free by recycling!

I didn't even check that! Yikes, that is expensive. Oh well.
