GOAC add-ons

Post by bicostp »

I know the compatibility of the Radica GOAC is hit-or-miss, but would it work with the add on accessories, such as the Game Genie, 32x, and Sonic & Knuckles? I doubt the GG would work if it writes to the memory directly, but I could be wrong. (It's happened many a time.)

We dont think the 32X would work as the Radica is much like the Genesis 3 and that couldnt suppor the attachemnt, same goes for the Sega CD. We're not sure if the Game Genie works as no one has tried it, if its like the Genesis 3 however it wont support it.

As for Sonic and Knuckles, I dont know but the Radica compatablity thread in the 42 forum should have wheither it works or not.

The genesis 3 couldn't use the 32x?

The CD I can understand completely; it used a cart slot connection with the Genesis rev.2.

But the 32x? huh, go figure.

The Genesis 3 and Radica lack things like the Z80 chip and atleast one other. That take the compatiblity and throws it out the window. As for the Sega CD, last I read the connectons that goes to it are from the cart slot, but with the Radica lacking several pins it wont work (kinda saddening).

eh, whatever. But since the Sonic & Knuckles cart reads the game and changes sprites, I think at least THAT would work.
