Case for a flashcart?

Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!

Case for a flashcart?

Post by iamscuzzo »

This is a question more of how to make a mold/case to make a flash card (SD/CF/whatever) to be more of the size of a genesis game cart size. Anyone have any idea of how to pull something off like this?

Im planning out a game console and I want the games to be in forms of carts...but the only common flash cards I know are SD/CF and those are small....Is there some casing or method to make them a appear that size.

I suppose you could buy an SD slot and build some sort of "adaptor" by cutting a hole in the top of a snes/genesis/n64 cart and placingthe sd slot in there.

2 choices: rip apart a Genesis cart and use that; or build a vacuum forming table and vacuum form (see my thread here, or on my website).

I'm sure there are cases available in a cart-like size on polycase and similar.

Maybe, but best option is for him to use an existing game cart as it will then look exactly the same as the others then.

Naturally. I was just pointing out one more option, of course using a real cart is the best option.
