PS2 DVD

How is the DVD player in the PS2? My neighbor is selling a PS2 for really cheap because it won't play PS1 games anymore, and because they bought a mini...Is it worth buying? And part of the reason I want to buy it is because of the DVD player, does it run well?

Yes, it looks the same as a dedicated DVD player. Just be sure to get the DVD remote for it, though. When you're doing a movie night, you'll look like a dork trying to play DVDs with the controller. (Though it does make the DVD games a little more fun.)

Maybe I'll get the remote...But I think I might be selling it soon anyways...I'm more of a Nintendo fan

I heard the DVD player sucks, the main reason I never bothered with PS2.
