video amplifier on page 122

Post by jeffslot »

Hi,

I'm trying to create the video amplifier on page 122. I've haven't had much luck with video amplifier's to this point. Would you guys mind looking at mine & letting me know if it looks right? Of course I know we won't know for sure, until it's hooked up, but that might take a bit of time.

Yellow wire is video to tv
Black wire is ground/negative
White wire is Video from NES
Red Wire is +5 volts

Thanks.

Looks like you've got a solder bridge on the transistor, can't quite tell.

Also, when soldering, heat the element with the iron, then touch the solder to the element, not the iron.
This is the internet. It means nothing. Don't believe otherwise.

Looks like it to me, too. Jeff, can you take your multi-meter and see if it's actually bridging those contacts? It's pretty hard to tell for sure looking at the picture.

Hi guys,

I Think I see what you mean. Are you talking about the spot near letter 'N'? If so I will desolder & attempt to do it better tonight. Thanks.

Yeah, right by the "N". Should clean up okay. Let us know how it goes.

Hi,

I did a quick de/resolder. I hope it is better. I won't get to test it out until this weekend though.
