extra ram

Post by deiol »

Another thread mentioned a build in gameshark and that reminded me of this, but I didn't want to hijack, so I'm starting a new thread.

One problem i've encountered with the game shark is that using the gameshark pro v3.3 with a game that requires the expansion pack, doesn't allow you to use the code generator function. the problem is the code generator uses the expansion pack, and the game needs it, so it doesn't run.

i was thinking that maybe the 2 2mb chips on the mobo can be replaced with 4mb chips from opened expansion packs, or maybe it was possible to find an 8mb chip to put on the expansion pack. anyone think this would work? or have a better idea? thanks

i don;'t think it's possible, the software might be lcked into thinking it's 2MB, the best scenario i can imagine is it will just not use the extra space.

thats just my electronics knowlege, video games might be a different story.
