Been busy lately, but I did manage to finish this idea up for modding a playstation (old gray style). Let me know what you think! *

*Unless it's about the exposed CD thing. Everyone I show this to complains about that, saying I should put some plexiglass over the lid or something. NEVER! It's my favorite thing about this mod.

Thats exposed CD edge looks dangerous, I think you should cover it with plexiglass or something.

With eyes like that, Pacman should have teeth.

That looks awesome! Nice idea, suing PacMan. I like how the disk is open, how can it be dangerous?! I had a PS1 from the Good Will that was missing the top door, a little tape and ripped up cards and I got it to work. Nothing wrong with watching the game!
Are you planning on working with the controller too? Make it look all, "PacManish"? Also, do something about those ugly controller/card ports.

I suppose you don't want to hear how the Pac Man cover is a great idea, very nicely done, so instead, I'll ask... Are those LEDs really that bright? Ouch. How about white ones to fit the theme a bit better?

Very, very nice though.

@Adam G: See! You get the idea! It's not like it's going to fly off and cut somebodys neck off.

@vskid: Screw you, and I like the teeth idea

@CFC: Actually, the blue was chosen on purpose since my color scheme came from this...

The idea was that the blue LED's would be the pathways. The red button would be a cherry (still need to paint the stem onto the case). And the white buttons are orbs.

The LED's are a bit bright, but not as much as the cameras pictures would make you think. LED's are hella hard to take pictures of.

Also, the player ports are actually white, you just can't tell from the pics. I had to steal that from a 4 player adapter to get white ones. The controller is also white. That I just had to hunt around forever for! But it came in last week at work (game store) so I knew I had the final piece there.

Ah, okay, I can see that now. Yeah, I hear ya on LEDs in pictures, especially narrow-angle LEDs. We need cameras that can take pictures like human eyes see.

Neat, but it's annoying how the right side has 4 LED's and the left only has 3.

EDIT: I don't know my left from right
