Need some VB.NET help

ok, i dloaded the VB.net 2008 express beta. i really really need to figure out how to get it to read from an external .txt file or something of that sort. i want to have this

D Major
--2--------------------
--3--------------------
--2--------------------
------------------------
------------------------
------------------------

displayed in a label, without me having to manually insert it into the code..
