NES Controller Chip

Post by jgibson »

I am a noob...ok I said it. I am going to attempt to build an NESp. I have Ben's book, and last night I was rewiring the chip on the controller and noticed that the book made reference to 5 ribbon cable wires coming off of the chip. The drawing on the book only shows 4. Can someone help me out. I really don't want to mess up the chip, my NES motherboard or the project in general. If someone could either post or PM me a schematic of how it is supposed to be wired, I would really appreciate it. I only hope that my NESp turns out to be as awesome as some the projects I have seen you all make!

I found out the page that I was asking about. It is near the end of chapter 7, page 153.

Look at the diagram on page 125. Where is says "yellow", thats point "B" thats missing on the other page. Sorry if this threw you off, there must have been some slacking off when it came to drawing diagrams.

I am at work right now, so I can't really look at the page. Does it show you where to hook it up on the curcit board that you have to make?
